Did anyone else feel bad when... WARNING: VOLUME 4 SPOILERS

Did anyone else feel bad when Splinter died in volume four? I mean, I'm used to him dying in tons of fanfiction, fan comics, fan web toons, etc, but I honestly never expected him to die within the canon of teenage mutant ninja turtles X_X

Personally, I was so sad I couldn't keep reading and I'm taking a little break from the comic as a result. I grew up seeing Splinter around the turtles all my life. Sure he's still around in other incarnations of tmnt, but it's still something that'll really take some getting used to...

So did anyone else feel bad when Splinter died? or am I the only one?

No..you're not alone...
Splinter was a part of my life too.
A part of me weeps for him in the comic universe *sniffle*
But I take courage in the fact he's alive and well in the other canon animations.
Still.. nothing quite hits home then the original comic plot....

For a ninja (and an old guy) you have to admit, that's pretty peaceful compared to some of the other deaths possible for him.

I was sad to when I read that Splinter was dead.

Yeah they all got changed and at first it was a great idea but after that htey wreak the series.

Personally the new angles that they had the turtles were not the greatest one expecially with Raph. Part of the reasons why I'd stopped buying the comics was for that reason alone.

The Leo story was cool but after that mehh.

Yes I felt really sad for the comic book series. It'd almost killed the TMNT right there.
