More troubling than the cover art, however, are the details of the DVD release that state it will be in full screen and approximately 70 minutes. If these details are not in error, this is absolutely inexcusable.

Turtles Forever was animated as a widescreen production, and even aired in widescreen when it was presented as a Saturday morning movie. Turtles Forever is also approximately 78 minutes in length, having been edited down to 70 to fit into a 90 minute TV slot.

The complete and widescreen Turtles Forever is available to view on the 4Kids.tv website (http://www.4kidstv.com/turtles-forever/ ... orever/100), and that is the one and only version that should be released on DVD. Hopefully the provided information is in error, and hopefully that is what will happen; it is probably too soon to panic.

All I know is, I plan on contacting them about this, as we TMNT fans have waited absolutely (inexcuseablely!) FOREVER for this TO be released ON DVD, and for Paramount TO release it THIS way is absolutely horrible!

To say NOTHING of absolutely RIDICULOUS. They KNOW that the "Director's Cut" version is still airing on the 4Kids' website. They should to the HONORABLE thing, and release it the way that it's MEANT to BE released, and THAT's in it's 78 minute entirety, AND in Wide-screen.

In MY VERY humble opinion.

Okay, I forgot that I didn't post the (admittedly stupid) box art for this release, so here they both are:

AS you can all see the just added 'Turtles Forever" BELOW the 2K3 TMNT logo. Yee, how thrilling.

*sighs* I AM going to be PRE-ordering this when I get the money, but I wish that they'd come up with BETTER box-art before they release it. Like the poster that we've all seen. But, when I was over at rhe Drome earlier, ONE of the members there (can't really remember WHO it was at the moment) mentioned that MAYBE THAT art BELONGED to the artist who do it. Don't know.

Oh, and I found out over at the Drome that ONE of the members had e-mailed Larry Goldfine, notifiying HIM about the lame boxart; etc.; and HE e-mailed that member BACK saying that HE was going to stay on the Paramount folks in an effort to get them to use the Turtles Forever poster AND to release the movie in its intended form (at 78 minutes, and in widescreen). So that's good for us.

ANOTHER thing that you MIGHT want to try (that I'M going to, later) is to use 8 1/2" x 14" paper. THAT way, you (I; we) will more than likely get to the right size.

Anyway, that's all for now, peeps. STILL no new news on what's going on with the DVD itself. I'll let y'all know if I pick up on anything over at the Drome concerning this thing

Well, I just PRE-ordered MY copy of this. I WAS going to order it from Walmart.com, because it's only like $11.99 there, but whenever I hit the "Pre-order" button, I kept getting a pop-up that I THINK I was supposed to click "OK" on, but THEN it kept going to one saying "This item is not yet rated", so I just gave up ordering it from there, and pre-ordered it from Amazon.com, instead. It wound up being like $15.47, which isn't really all THAT bad, as far as price goes :wink:

NOW all I have to do is wait for it to come, and THAT should be AFTER the 24th sometime. :wink:

Also, I noticed that ALL of the sites where this is available FOR pre-order are STILL showing that lame-o box-art for it. Bummer. :cry:
